  • An assessment will enable your child’s therapist to determine where your child may be having specific difficulties or delays with their communication and/or literacy skills.

    If your child has had a Comprehensive Speech and Language assessment in the last 12 months, therapy can commence immediately.

    Please send through your child’s assessment report prior to the initial consultation.

  • The earlier we can assess your child and diagnose speech and/or language difficulties, the better the outcomes.

    Regular therapy in your child’s preschool years reduces the longer-term impact of speech and/or language difficulties on your child’s academic performance (including learning to read and write) and social-emotional well-being.

    If your child is younger, sessions can also focus upon parent-based education and consultation, and you will be coached as the parent deliver therapy to your child.

  • Following the initial consultation, your child’s therapist, will match their profile, including their strengths and areas of need, to the recommended evidence-based therapy techniques in ways that are fun and engaging.

    Individual Development Plans are reviewed on a termly or regular basis to ensure that therapy is on track. Changes will be made to existing goals or new goals will be established.

    Each session will have time allocated for feedback with you. With this feedback, we are able to discuss their progress as well as recommendations for home practice.

  • The number of sessions your child needs will depend entirely on their individual circumstances.

    Research has shown that therapy is most effective when it is regular and consistent. For this reason, our clients attend weekly or fortnightly sessions on the same day and time. These are generally booked in blocks ahead of time.

    You child’s therapist will assess and provide a recommendation for what regularity will be most beneficial for your child’s needs and situation.

  • The use of telehealth sessions can be as effective as face-to-face therapy for assessment and treatment for many disorders and difficulties.

    If your child is young, sessions will focus upon parent-based education and consultation, and you will be coached as the parent using items you own around the home to deliver therapy to your child.

  • Free and accessible parking is available for your convenience within walking distance on surrounding streets, as well at Five Dock Coles Car Park (1 hour).
